The Canned Goods Run was scheduled for Dec. 18. Unfortunately, the ice and snow made the park roads impassable. Fortunately, the spirit of giving is alive and well. Even though they couldn’t run, many people came by to donate canned goods and money to the Lord’s Kitchen. Several people brought cases of canned goods; others brought a contribution.
Club member Carl Cox volunteers at The Lord’s Kitchen. He collected the canned goods in the back of his pick up truck and took everything down to the center. They will be used to make food baskets for needy families. The monetary donations go to buy perishables and other needed items. Mark Vincent from Valley View Church came by with their generous $500 donation, and the club contributed $200. Carl said that over $1000 was donated. Thanks to everyone. We’ll see you next year.
