This year’s race had a record number of entries – more than double the number of previous races!
We apologize to those who didn’t get their ice cream because we ran out.
Although it was hot, the rain held off until everybody had finished and enjoyed a little social time.
See you next year.
Where do you meet?
At the parking lot near the amphitheater.
How do you register or do we just show up prior to start time to sign up?
Just show up. Probably good to get there at 6:00 or so. It’s very informal – lots of fun. Bring $3, or $2 if you’re an IHR member. Hope to see you there.
I’d like to attend this with my son. He runs track and we are trying to find low cost activities to keep him active during the off season.
It’s a family-friendly event. We’ll be glad to see you there.
Do you get a race bib? Will this count towards wellness programs?
We don’t use bibs. We will post the results here after the race – maybe you can use that. If you’re doing it for a wellness program you can’t eat any ice cream! 🙂 haha
Will the event be on if just raining, cancelled if storming? Will you post on here if it will be cancelled?
In my memory we’ve only canceled one run – due to solid ice. We just have to see at race-time, sorry.
Thanks!
Thank you for a wonderful event! I really enjoyed the mile marker people and of course the ice cream at the end! Great atmosphere with lots of friendly people. The runPossible crew (mostly men in recovery programs at St Vincent de Paul as well as volunteer supporters) also really enjoyed it. For many it was their first 5k. Thank you!
Thank you all for such a fun event, this was the first 5k I’ve run since I was 10 years (29 years ago) and it was a great experience! Everybody was so nice and extremely supportive, it was an amazing atmosphere!!
Made a trip to Swags and by chance found out about this event. Enjoyed it and realized I need more hill training. I have ran over 200 races in the last 4 years and this one will stand out as one I will remember for a long time. Good job guys/great turnout. Sam from Loogootee, Indiana
Thanks to everybody for the nice comments. This was a challenging event – more than twice as many runners as ever before (200+). We apologize for running out of ice cream, another first! 🙁 Thank goodness the rain held off until things were pretty much wrapped up. Remember our Poker run that benefits Toys for Tots on Aug. 11.
