Join us on November 27th for our 45th annual Thanksgiving Day Race to the top of the park before you sit down for the big holiday meal.
This race starts at 9:00 AM near the Iroquois Amphitheater, goes up to the top of the park, then back down the hill.
Each Entrant will receive a top-quality long sleeve shirt an entry into drawings for up to $1,000 in prizes. The first 1,500 participants will receive a medal for their participation.

*Please note the roadways are open allowing access to the golf course. Use the pedestrian path while on the back side of the park.
Entry Fees
$35 early sign up. Online, postmarked, or in-person before October 15th. Register by this date and pick up early to guarantee shirt size. We cannot guarantee shirt size on race day packet pickup.
$40 after Oct 15th. Online, posted marked, or in-person before Nov 15th.
$45 after Nov 15th . Online or in-person to start of race.

Course:
The five-mile course starts near the playground and proceeds to the top of Iroquois Park. Race then continues around one-way road and finishes at the playground. Race has one water stop, and mile markers.
The 5K with Stuffing Run/Walk course course starts near the playground and proceeds around the bottom loop of Iroquois Park.
The 1.25 Mile Run/Walk course starts at playground and proceeds around front of Iroquois park and finishes at playground.
Packet Pickup
Early Packet Pickup will be held on November 25 and 26 from 10 a.m to 7 p.m. at Swag’s Sport Shoes south end location.
Race Day Packet Pickup will be available November 27th from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Early packet pickup is highly encouraged.

Overall 5 Miler Only (male and female):
1st place: $150
2nd place: $100
3rd place: $50
Age groups (male and female): 5 year brackets from 14 and under to 75 and older.

Age Group Awards will be given in the form of a gift certificate to Swag’s Sport Shoes. Awards can be picked up starting December 1st – December 13th at Swag’s South Store.

Costume Contest
Put your creativity to work and wear a costume. Turkeys, unicorns, pies and ugly sweaters welcome. Grand prize $50.

Pets
Pets are allowed on the race course. For safety purposes, all pets must be leashed and runners with pets must start at the back of the runners and stay on the right side of the road.
Parking
There is limited parking available in the Iroquois Amphitheater Lot during the event. Please do not drive or park on grass areas in Iroquois Park.
Overflow parking is available in Colonial Gardens, 818 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214 and DeSales High School, 425 W Kenwood Dr, Louisville, KY 40214, which is a short walk to the Start and Finish Line.
